Competing in their first season for the U.S., PWRC Athletes Fabien Lefevre and Dana Mann finished just out of medals, with Fabien placing 4th and Dana 5th. Both athletes were fast but incurred touches on a very tight and tricky finals course in Prague, Czech Republic, which kept them off of the podium. Other PWRC athlete results:
Ashley Nee: 43rd in women’s kayak
Casey Eichfeld: 23rd in C-2 and 32nd in C-1
Fabien: “This course is very tricky because you have to create your own speed as the water is quite slow, yet you have to be very light in your boat. The ideal combination of the two is difficult to achieve.”
The next stop for our Senior Team athletes is the U.S. National Championships at the Nantahala Outdoors Center and the on to Deep Creek, MD to train on the course for the 2014 World Championships.
